We’ve made it to Sydney.
I love it here so much.
I’ve already had two breakfasts and have been up since 4 AM.
I keep saying “my jet lag is jet lagged” cause that’s how it feels. I got jet lagged flying the 17 hours from New York to New Zealand, naturally, and then traveling from Wellington to Sydney yesterday with the three hour time difference and four hour flight jet lagged my current jet lag. I put ketchup on my ketchup.
That said, I somehow feel wonderful. Just elated to be here. I LOVE Australia and it is such a privilege to travel this far from home to get to play my songs. Tonight is sold out at the Factory Theatre. Can’t wait.
Yesterday our descent into Sydney was maybe the most beautiful entry into a city I’ve experienced on an airplane ever. I can’t think of one that’s ever been more beautiful! Flying over the skyline beneath the rising harvest moon shining off the pacific, illuminating the Opera House and all. Photos wont do it justice.
Speaking of photos, Eric took the worst photo of me to date, which will live below the pay wall. If I get one new subscriber whatever I did to my mind and body to look that awful will have all been worth it.
